Hello Friends of Downtown Anacortes!

There’s so much happening in our vibrant downtown, and we couldn’t do it without you! Here’s a quick update on what we have been working on and what’s coming up:

🎄 Elves Night Out & Halloween Recap – Thanks to YOU, Elves Night Out was a huge success, bringing more than 700 people downtown for festive shopping and holiday fun. And let’s not forget Downtown Trick-or-Treating, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce with our support—1,500+ kids (and a few costumed pets!) made it a night to remember.

🌷 Spring Beautification Begins! – Want to help make downtown bloom? We’re planning the 2025 planter project and would love your input and gardening help. Join our team to help design and plant this spring!

🏛️ Historic Buildings – For folks interested in restoring our historic buildings, our first Old Souls, New Spirits Historic Building Tour was a hoot!  Our next historic downtown building tour is coming soon. Keep an eye out for the date!  And if you want to own a piece of history, the historic, iconic Keystone Building is for sale.

💙 Keeping Local Dollars Local – Our Main Street Tax Credit Incentive Program (MSTCIP) lets local businesses redirect their state B&O or PUT tax dollars right back here to Anacortes. Learn how your business can contribute!

📢 Join Us for Rise and Learn! – Each month, we bring together small business owners for a Rise and Learn Seminar.  Join us at 8:30 Feb 21 to learn about employment best practices and new HR laws.  RSVP

💡 Want to Get Involved? – Whether you’re interested in events, beautification, or economic development, there’s a place for you! Lead a project or join one of our committees and make a real impact in your community.

We’re growing, thriving, and making downtown better every day—with YOUR help! If you’d like to donate, volunteer, or learn more, visit DowntownAnacortes.org.

Thank you for being part of our journey. Let’s keep the momentum going!

With gratitude,
The Downtown Anacortes Alliance Team
